Johnson County OKs Increase in Hangar Lease Rents

The County Commission has approved a rent increase for the T-Hangars at the Johnson County Airport.

At an earlier meeting, Commissioner Robert Perry, commission liaison to the Airport Board, said the board had voted to adopt an increase of 3% this year, and another 2% increase the following year, or 5% over the next two years.

The commission discussed the amount of the increase and when to possibly implement it, and what may be a difficulty implementing the increase due to the different months that the annual leases are up.

Commission Chair Bill Novotny explained the motion from Commissioner Perry.

The commission approved the motion for the increases and the date for implementation.
