YMCA Soccer program searching for referees and coaches

Youth Soccer is one of the Sheridan County YMCA’s most active programs and it needs referees.
Youth Soccer at the Y involves children aged Kindergarten through the 8th grade, all co-ed. The younger children learn the fundamentals of the game while learning how to be part of a team.
While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse program, YMCA Executive Director Liz Cassiday told listeners that the program is suffering from a lack of referees and coaches. Cassiday also informed listeners that should they wish to volunteer, there’s no requirement to know anything about the sport or refereeing, that’s something they can teach.
Interested parties can contact Kimberly Jacobson with Youth Sports at the YMCA by emailing kjacobson@sheridanymca.org, or visit the Y in person.
