News ReleaseIt’s been a long battle against a fire burning in the Bighorn National Forest, and some moisture could be on the way.
As of 10am on Tuesday, August 3rd, the Crater Ridge fire has burned 758 acres of land, about 30 miles east-northeast of Lovell.
Some of the fire has moved northward towards Pumpkin Creek.
There is 0% containment due to the rugged terrain, however indirect containment lines have been established.
A multi-mission aircraft recently arrived to help, and precipitation is anticipated in the area.
