Kicking Boots

The Sheridan WYO Rodeo Boot Kick-Off event will take place this afternoon at Whitney Commons Park in Sheridan. Registration begins at 4:30 and the event will get underway shortly after 5 pm with the stick horse races for kids up to 8-years of age. Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce CEO Dixie Johnson said that just after 6 pm, the boot kick-off competition will begin and there will be prizes for the top three winners in each age category.

Johnson said stick horses and boots will be provided or contestants can bring their own stick horses and boots if they wish. Registration will be limited to up to 20 participants in each category. Food and beverage vendors will be on hand during the event.
