Buffalo Council Amends 2021 Budget

The Buffalo City Council voted to amend their budget for Fiscal Year 2020-21 during their regular meeting this week.
City Clerk Julie Silbernagel said the nearly $800,000 in funds received from the Wilbur Holt Trust needed to be reflected in a budget amendment, according to the auditors.
Also added was a $145,000 line item for the skilled nursing facility; a line item for $14,500 for a manhole inspection vehicle that had gone out to bid; and the purchase of pipe for a water line on Tisdale while the material is available.
Silbernagel explained where the added funds would come from.
No comment was offered during the public hearing for the budget amendment, and the council passed the amendment unanimously.
