Wyoming’s total of deaths linked to the coronavirus grew to 700 on Wednesday as the state Department of Health announced the deaths of five more residents.
The department’s statement said two of the victims were older Campbell County women, two others were an older Natrona County man and woman and the fifth was a Sweetwater County woman.
All five had health conditions known to lead create a higher risk in case of a coronavirus infection.
Four of the victims died in March and the fifth died in February.
Deaths of Wyoming residents are linked to the coronavirus if COVID-19 is listed on death certificates as causing or contributing to the cause of death.
