Commissioners Lift Freeze to Hire Assistant

Johnson County’s Commissioners voted to lift a hiring freeze during their last meeting, to pursue hiring a replacement for Commissioners’ Assistant Sheila Newcomb.

According to discussions at the meeting, Newcomb scheduled interviews to be conducted this week with the commissioners for her replacement.

The new administrative assistant will also be taking over responsibilities from County Road & Bridge Administrative Assistant Cheryl Benner, who will also be retiring this year.
