Albany County Mask Order To Go Into Effect On Friday
Following in the steps of Laramie County, which implemented a face mask mandate this week, Albany County will enact its own face mask order, which will go into effect on Friday afternoon at 5 p.m.

Following in the steps of Laramie County, which implemented a face mask mandate this week, Albany County will enact its own face mask order, which will go into effect on Friday afternoon at 5 p.m.
Wyoming public health officer Dr. Alexia Harrist has signed off on an order that will require people in Albany County to wear face coverings in public settings. The order will be in effect until at least Nov. 30.
The order requires the use of face masks when waiting in line to enter a business or when inside a business or commercial property open to the public. The order also applies to government and health care facilities
The city of Laramie announced the order on its Facebook page Wednesday and attached the six-page order. The Albany County public health officer, Dr. Jean Allais, requested the order after consulting with community partners, including business and public officials. It is modeled after the orders in place in Laramie and Teton counties.
Cases have consistently increased in Albany County in recent weeks, with 876 active cases as of Wednesday. The county was labeled a “red zone” by the White House coronavirus task force in early October.
