State Health Director Discusses Flu Season

Fall officially marks the beginning of flu season, as health officials typically begin seeing an increase in cases of influenza in October. Wyoming State Health Officer Dr. Alexia Harrist said preventative measures for COVID-19 factored into the number of cases of influenza last season.
Dr. Harrist said that just about everyone six months of age and older should receive a flu shot.
Flu season runs from October through May, with the peak months usually being December through February.
