Pat BlairRichard Garber has been named president of the Sheridan Memorial Hospital Foundation board of directors for the fiscal year that started on July 1.
A Sheridan County native, Garber has lived most of his life here, growing up on the family ranch in Big Horn and later working for 38 years at John Deere as an owner, Deere employee, sales representative and store manager.
Garber has been active with the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce, serving on the board from 2012-2018 as president, vice president and past president. He was named the Wyoming State Chamber of Commerce Chamber Board Member of the Year in 2018.
In addition to Garber, other officers on the board for the year are Rob Johnson, vice president; Matt Ebzery, treasurer; and Rita Rohrbaugh, secretary.
Also on the board are Dr. Sarah Smith Maguire, Stella Montano, Dr. Bill Doughty and Dr. Tim Scott. According to Chief Development Officer Cody Sinclair, Dr. Doughty has been pivotal in a number of Foundation efforts and a true champion for the work of the Foundation and Sheridan Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Scott is this year’s representative to the foundation board from the Sheridan Memorial Hospital board of trustees. Sinclair said Dr. Scott has been a valued partner of the foundation for decades.
