City Treasurer Presents Latest Sales and Use Tax Numbers

The revenue generated from the sales and use tax in the City of Sheridan continues to trend in a positive direction. City Treasurer Karen Burtis presented the latest numbers to the Sheridan City Council this week. She said that the sales and use tax revenue is almost 10 percent higher when compared to last year.
Burtis said that aside from Sheridan, Laramie and Riverton were the only other reporting municipalities that experienced an increase when compared to last year’s numbers. Laramie had a 4.3 percent increase, while Riverton’s was an 11.5 percent increase.
