Sheridan Media reporter Pat Blair looks back in time, over 100 years ago, to the impact of Spanish influenza as reported in the pages of the Sheridan Enterprise in 1918.

Mrs. Blanche Alexander Rice, county superintendent of schools, who has been suffering from influenza, has recovered sufficiently to permit her to again visit the courthouse. She reports today, Dec. 7, that most of the rural schools in the county have resumed regular school work. But, she said, there are quite a number of districts where the prevalence of influenza still forbids resumption of the sessions.

Ed Baker of Ranchester is in Sheridan today. He is recovering from influenza and will leave today for a trip east.

State Food Administrator Diers returned last night from a swing around Wyoming to organize the new food conservation program. He found that influenza in some parts of the state interfered with meetings.
