Buffalo Mayor Proclaims May 6-12 as Nurses Week

Buffalo Mayor Shane Schrader, during the city council meeting Tuesday evening, made a proclamation designating this week, May 6-12, as Nurses Week in the city.

Mayor Schrader, before reading the proclamation, spoke about nurses in general and explained why they are special to him.

Schrader encouraged residents to celebrate registered nurses’ accomplishments and efforts to improve our healthcare system and to show appreciation not just during this week but at every opportunity throughout the year.
