Jo Co Commission Amends 2024-25 County Budget

A budget amendment for Johnson County’s 2024-25 Budget has been approved by the county commission.

According to discussion at their last regular meeting, the amendment is to transfer funds from the Wyoming State Library to Fund 86, the Kaycee Library Improvement Project.

Commissioner Jeff Shelley gave more details on the funding award.

A public hearing was convened in the matter but no public comment was offered.

The commission closed the hearing after passing Resolution No. 745.

The grant funding comes from the Wyoming Library Multi-Purpose Community Facility Program, a federal sub-grant program funded by the Coronavirus Capital Projects Fund.

The Johnson County Libraries received the largest award of $2,652,300 to improve the Kaycee Branch Library.
