Loan Increase Request

After meeting with the design engineer for the Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrades Project on February 3, it was determined that additional funding would be needed for the project. The Sheridan City Council this week approved a resolution at their business meeting to request an increase in the Clean Water State Revolving Fund Loan in the amount of $6.25 million. Roberts said it is a zero percent interest loan and the City will be requesting a 30-year-term and that if the State approves the request, the City would move forward with a design build or design bid build process to deliver the project through to construction, which would occur sometime in 2026. Roberts said the loan increase would have an impact on future rates.

The $6.25 million loan increase is contingent on the approval from the State Loan and Investment Board.
