The Wyoming Department of Transportation issued the latest update on the Buffalo Main Street Project for the week of September 22.

In Phase III, North Main Street, paving of the northbound lane fro Hart Street to the French Creek Bridge is underway, with traffic being moved to the southbound lane.

WYDOT says the lanes are narrow and ask the public to be aware of reduced speed limit and cautious of bringing trailers through there.

Motorists using the eastbound I-90 off-ramp, 56A, will encounter a stop sign at the bottom of the off-ramp on North Main Street and are asked to watch for traffic control and flaggers in that area.

Daytime flaggers and one lane of travel can be expected from North Main Street to Rock Creek Road, especially under the interstate bridge. Two-way traffic will resume at night.

Milling and paving of the eastbound I-90 off-ramp, Exit 56A, is expected to be completed the week of October 7.

The off-ramp will be closed for three days to complete this portion of the project, with more information coming soon.

Key approaches to businesses and side streets will be accessible, but may be limited for short periods to accommodate paving.

Work on Phase IV, Downtown Main Street, has been completed for this season.

WYDOT will be hosting a public meeting in November to give updates on the next scope of work and the schedule.

More information on that meeting will be released in the coming weeks.
