Sheridan Travel & Tourism and Fighting Bear Antiques present the Bighorn Rendezvous IX, which promises a weekend filled with art, culture and enjoyment on Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 24 – 25.
Hosted by the Brinton Museum, the event will begin with a Quickdraw on Saturday, from 9 a.m. to noon. Free and open to the public, Brinton Museum Executive Director Kendra Heimbuck said this is an excellent opportunity for visitors to interact with visiting artists.

During the course of the day, visitors are also encouraged to explore the museum and the grounds. Heimbuck invited the public to bring a picnic and enjoy the surrounding gardens and shade of the large well-kept trees.

Following the Quickdraw, until 3 p.m., visitors can enjoy a variety of family-friendly activities, including lawn games, art activities for kids, complimentary historic ranch tours, live music from Carte Blanche, and a beer and wine garden.
The event includes the Bighorn Rendezvous Art Auction & Dinner, which is a ticketed event on Saturday evening. The dinner will begin with a cocktail hour at 5 p.m. for VIP ticket holders, with live musical entertainment, and at 6 p.m. for general ticket holders. Beginning at 6:30 p.m., the auction of the 18 original Quickdraw artworks will begin, followed by a buffet dinner catered by The Brinton Bistro.
The weekend will conclude on Sunday, with a special demonstration by Bighorn Rendezvous IX featured artist, Joel Ostlind, in the Jacomien Mars Gallery at 2 p.m. Free and open to the public, Heimbuck said Ostlind will demonstrate the process of preparing an intaglio plate for printing.
