The Sheridan City Council received budget presentations on May 7, from staff members during the City’s annual budget work session.

According to the City, council members had six weeks and two study sessions to review the FY25 Budget.

During an appearance on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Sheridan City Council Member Terry Weitzel and City Administrator Stuart McRae told listeners that during the budgeting process, the City takes a conservative approach to estimating revenue projections and expenditures in both the General and Enterprise Funds.

Weitzel said the process has gone smoothly this year, in large part to the City’s department heads who arrived prepared and ready to answer questions.

The final FY25 budget will be approved at the June 17, Council meeting to comply with state statutes.

McRae echoed Weitzel’s sentiment, saying he considers himself very fortunate to be part of such a hardworking and dedicated team at City Hall.
