Annual Wings & Wheels Hanger Event Raises 27K for Scholarships

The 3rd Annual Wings & Wheels Hangar Invitational was held at the Sheridan County Airport on Saturday, June 1.

Put on by the Sheridan Pilots Association, the Hangar Invitational is designed to have some fun, admire some beautiful aircraft and cars, all while raising money for local aviation-related scholarships.

According to the Association’s website, the event featured a number of planes and cars on display, ood and drink, an auction and live music.

Those participating raised $27,400 for the Sheridan Pilots Association’s Fred M. Barton Scholarship Fund, which supports two annual scholarships that enable a qualified and committed local commercial pilot and aircraft maintenance technician to receive training costs covered by the SPA.

The Sheridan Pilots Association is a Wyoming 501(c)(3) non-profit committed to promoting aviation awareness and the impact of aviation on our local community.

The SPA’s next event is the Airport Open House on Saturday, August 24.

It is open to the public and family friendly.
