An Ohio woman is dead after the vehicle she was riding in crashed, because the driver went into a state of unconsciousness.

The Wyoming Highway Patrol says at around 11:45am on Friday, May 31st, a motor home was traveling westbound on US Highway 14 south of Burgess Junction, when the driver had a medical episode and became unconscious.

Other passengers in the vehicle, including 72-year old Frances Middaugh, attempted to regain control of the vehicle, but it was too late, as it had already crossed the centerline and went off the road to the left

The motor home hit a wooden rail fence, and one of the fence rails broke through the front windshield of the motor home and struck Middaugh.

No other injuries were reported.
