The Lady Hawks set the tone early when #23 Alyssa Biteman scored 5 minutes into the game. The lead was extended by #48 Riley Mudd with 12:26 left in the first period. Sheridan’s offense maintained pressure, with a significant contribution from Mowry and Biteman, who scored 10 minutes before the period’s end. The Generals lit up the lamp with 6 minutes remaining, closing the first period with Sheridan leading 3-1.
The second period started with Hawks #81 Willow Koltiska scoring early. The Generals managed to add another goal to the board before the period ended, making the score to 4-2, with Sheridan still in the lead. Sheridan’s lead was also reflected in the shot count, tallying 32 to Miles City’s 8 by the end of the second period.
The Generals demonstrated their resolve in the third period, rallying with two goals to even the score at 4-4, pushing the game into overtime.
In the overtime, #81 Willow Koltiska scored, securing the Sheridan Lady Hawks a 5-4 win over the Miles City Generals.
