Cocktails for a Cause will occur on Sunday, Nov. 26, at the Warehouse Gastropub and start at 3:00 pm. The evening will have seven local bartenders competing to make the best cocktail possible from Black Saddle 12-Year Bourbon provided by Bighorn Spirits. 100% of the proceeds will go to the food group providing meals for underprivileged children. Tim Kerr, the event organizer, explained what attendees can expect to experience during the event.

Recipes for each cocktail presented will also be available at the event so the flavor can be recreated at home. The evening will also consist of light food provided by the Warehouse and sweet treats from local baker Destiny Keesling.

Currently, there are two judges for the contest: Christer Johansson, Co-owner of the Warehouse Gastropub, and Cole Evans, a representative of U.S. Foods. The final judge position will be given to someone who makes an excellent donation to the food group. If a donation isn’t made before the event, the final judge will be randomly selected to avoid bias.

Kerr also explained the criteria of how the judges and attendees will determine the winners.

There is also an option to sponsor a contestant for 250$, which will get their name on the flyer the day of the contest and be announced during the competition for maximum exposure.

Kerr is ecstatic about the event and eager for more people to attend and donate to the food group’s cause. He explained how to donate and some benefits of making a charitable donation.
