cvannoyOn Monday, September 11, the Arvada-Clearmont School held it’s annual 9-11 remembrance ceremony.
The AC Band played the national anthem, and three student council members, Skye Mallie, Kamryn and Dellana Michelena, each said a few words about 9-11.
The band also played, America the Beautiful, and music teacher Gerry Chase said the pledge of alliance in time with the music.
Members of the Clearmont Historical Robert Prusak, Sandy Hirz, Fran Felz, Meshell Cooper and Ira Roadifer, were asked to come and speak about the day.
Hirz talked about some of the brave people who were killed in the attack, Prusak talked about the TSA and what they are doing to keep passengers safe to avoid another 911 type attack.
Cooper remembered where she was on that day.
Fran Felz talked about one Wyoming town that honored the memory of the attack.
Roadifer also mentioned Burns, Wyoming, saying that in 2010 the town council learned that there were pieces of the world trade center to be given to any town that wanted them. Burns was one of the few towns to receive these artifacts.
A member of the Wyoming National Guard was there and everyone at the event shook his hand and thanked him for his service.
