Gaming Commission Bill Nearing Finish Line

The legislation that would create a gaming commission in Wyoming is nearing the finish line of Governor Mark Gordon’s desk. House Bill 171 was last passed on first reading by the Senate, with two more readings there and a concurrence vote in the House to go before it would be ready for the signatures it needs to become a law. Local Representative Mark Kinner explained why he is in favor of the measure.
According to the legislature’s website, Representative Kinner voted against introducing the bill initially, then voted in favor of it passing through committee and onto the committee of the whole. When read on third reading, Kinner voted against it. Another local Representative Cyrus Western voted in favor of introduction but against the measure on 3rd reading while Richard Tass supported it both times and Mark Jennings opposed it twice.
