Work continues along Main Street in downtown Sheridan however the recent rains have been slowing down progress, and has caused a problem on Sheridan Avenue.

WYDOT has announced that because of all the rain, construction crews have had difficulty pouring fresh concrete on Dow Street between Main and Brooks Street.

This includes the Main and Dow Street intersection.

As a result, plans to reopen Dow Street have been pushed back by one week, and is now scheduled to be completed just after the 4th of July Holiday.

Once that opens, Main Street between Alger and Grinnell Plaza will close, however sidewalks will remain open.

Meanwhile, East 1st Street between Main and Gould Streets is still on schedule to reopen next week.

WYDOT has announced they will be meeting with the Sheridan City Council on July 26th, to present their annual State Transportation Improvement Plan.

The meeting starts at 5pm inside the city council chambers and the public is invited to attend.

Elsewhere, the city of Sheridan has announced that Sheridan Avenue between 1st Street and Kroe Lane will close for one week beginning Friday (June 23rd), for emergency storm sewer repairs.

Kroe Lane will remain open.
