Jennings: “We’re Kicking the Can Down The Road”

Next Thursday, March 12, is scheduled to be the final day for the 2020 Budget Session of the 65th Wyoming Legislature and work on the titular budget for the next two fiscal years continues. Local Representative Mark Jennings expressed his frustration on the house version of that legislation.
Representative Jennings voted against House Bill 1 on 3rd reading along with Local Representative Richard Tass. The measure ultimately passed with a vote of 48 in favor and 12 opposed. The other two members of the Sheridan/Johnson County Delegation, Cyrus Western and Mark Kinner, voted in favor. Representative Jennings commented on whether or not he liked the Senate version of the budget better.
We will have information on a failed amendment to the budget that Jennings ran in a later story. To view and track House Bill 1, the budget bill, follow this link https://www.wyoleg.gov/Legislation/2020/HB0001.
