City Officials Discuss Boiler Replacement for Police Department

The initial steps in replacing the boiler at the Sheridan Police Department were discussed by City officials this week. Sheridan Medias’ Ron Richter has the details.

The bid award for the design, construction, bidding and construction administration for replacement of the boiler at the Sheridan Police Department was an item of discussion at this week’s City Council study session. Sheridan Police Chief Travis Koltiska says the natural-gas fired, atmospheric boiler is in need of replacement.

Koltiska said replacement of the boiler is estimated to cost between $275,000 and $325,000. The City Council, at an upcoming regularly scheduled business meeting, will be considering awarding the bid for the design, construction, bidding and construction administration for the boiler to Associated Construction Engineering in the amount of  $26,750.
