SPD: providing 24/7 security with safe exchange space

The Sheridan Police Department has announced the safe exchange location – located in front of the SPD station – has proven successful after its first year.
The space was developed and began operation approximately a year ago. While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse program, SPD Captain Tom Ringley took the opportunity to remind the public the space is there to use, free of charge. Ringley also reminded the public of the reasons the SPD developed the safe exchange space.
The space consists of two parking spaces located directly in front of the department. Free and open to the public, the safe location for child custody exchanges, face to face online sales and meetings where one may feel the need for enhanced safety is available 24 hours a day and seven days a week.
