California Woman Arraigned in District Court in Sheridan on Burglary Charges

An arraignment hearing for 40-year-old Nicole Goodman from Fresno, California was held Thursday in Fourth Judicial District Court in Sheridan. Goodman, along with co-defendant Mark Anthony of Gillette, were arrested by the Sheridan County Sheriff’s Office on September 29, 2022, for allegedly breaking into a construction trailer in Sheridan County.

Goodman, at a hearing Thursday before District Court Judge Benjamin Kirven, pleaded not guilty to the charges of burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary. Judge Kirven scheduled a three-day jury trial for June 5 and set a pretrial conference for May 4 at 9 am. A request to amend Goodman’s bond from $10,000 cash only, to a $10,000 cash or surety bond was denied by Kirven due to Goodman’s extensive criminal history. If convicted on both charges, Goodman faces up to 20 years in prison and fines of up to $20,000.
