Johnson County Approves $800K in 1% Funding

Johnson County’s Commissioners discussed the amount of Optional 1% Tax funds they will allocate for this year, settling on $800,000.

According to the discussions, there is roughly $1.5 million collected taxes in the 1% account, with about $938,000 already allocated in previous 1% projects, leaving about $622,000 remaining as of January of this year.

Optional One Percent Taxes for February, March, April, May, and June still need to be collected for this year’s allocation.

The commissioners approved $800,000 for Funding, with $200,000 going to the One-Percent Committee to allocate to outside agencies and $600,000 to be earmarked for county entities.
