Aaron PalmerAnyone who has attended the annual WYO Pancake Breakfast has surely noticed local Boy Scouts setting up, serving, and cleaning for the many hungry people on WYO Parade Friday.
The proceeds from the fundraiser go to help fund various activities for the scouts, as well as fund a scholarship, according to Chris Williams, scoutmaster for Troop 117 in Sheridan.
Williams said the scouts have run the pancake breakfast for the last few years after taking it over from the Kiwanis.
About 16 to 18 scouts participate, along with two to three adults per scout, so there are about 50 people that tackle the breakfast each year.
Williams said, “it’s a pretty big operation as you can see.”
