The Wyoming Humanities has announced they will present “It looked like Spain, but it was Wyoming,” a special event open to the public during the International Hemingway Conference at 5 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, at Sheridan College.
According to the Hemingway Society, the first portion of the 2022 conference, beginning on Sunday, July 17, will be held in Sheridan. On Thursday, July 21, the conference will travel to Cooke City/Silver Gate, Mont. for the remainder of the biennial event, ending with a banquet the night of Saturday, July 23.
This ticketed event at Sheridan College includes a barbeque with all the fixings, Hemingway-themed cocktails, and live music performed by Dugan Irby Band.
Dinner will be followed by a keynote presentation from New York Times bestselling author of the “Longmire” series, Craig Johnson, and a reading from A. Marinez, an award-winning actor from Netflix’s original series, “Longmire” at 7 p.m.
Tickets cost $20 per person and can be purchased at the Whitney Center for the Arts or by visiting the Hemingway Society’s website, here.
