Montana voters are heading to the polls to thin out the number of candidates running in November’s general election and decide some special issues.

Tuesday, June 7th is Primary Election Day in the Big Sky state.

Up for grabs are two seats in the US House of Representatives.

One is held by Republican Matt Rosendale, the other is a new house district that was created as a result of US Census numbers and redistricting.

Neither of Montana’s US Senator seats are up for re-election this year.

Aside from political offices, voters in Yellowstone County will decide if sales of marijuana will be allowed outside of Billings.

In 2020, Montana voters approved a constitutional amendment to allow recreational sales and use of marijuana, however sales are not permitted within the Billings city limits.

Voting polls are open from 7am until 8pm.
