There were several facts incorrect on today’s Pro-Higher Tax infomercial.
It’s been about 22 million for decades, until the commissioners decided, unilaterally, to almost double it to 40 million, back in ’13. They did that AFTER we had approved it, assuming it would be the usual 22 million amount.
Lower taxes are always better for individuals, local business, ranches and families, especially in these trying economic times.
To present only one side of the issue to taxpayers, is a dis-service to Sheridan residents, who pay the vast majority of the Cap tax.
