TRMS Principal Makes 4-Thousand Free Throws For WY Special Olympics

In an effort to gather donations for Wyoming Special Olympics, Tongue River Middle School Principal Jeff Jones stepped up to the free throw line, with a goal of making 4,000 shots.

Principal Jones start at 6:30am on Friday (February 25th) and finished at around 3pm.

Originally he had anticipated 12 hours to finish, which would have been 1 free throw every 10.8 seconds.

Jones played college basketball at Williston State College in Williston, North Dakota, and at Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana.

The fundraiser for Wyoming Special Olympics is part of a friendly competition between Tongue River Middle and Tongue River Elementary school.

The winner will be announced on Saturday, March 5th at the Jackalope Jump Event at the Goose Valley Fire Department.
