Wyoming’s coronavirus-related hospitalizations have continued to rise over the last month, hitting levels this week not seen since January.
On Wednesday, 84 patients were hospitalized across the state with the coronavirus, the majority of which were in the Cheyenne Regional Medical Center (21) and the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper (18), according to the Wyoming hospitalization tracker.
Each of those hospitals also had 10 patients in their intensive care units, but just because someone is in the ICU doesn’t mean they have the virus. Only about half of the state’s ICU beds are available, but only nine of the state’s more than 250 ventilators are in use.
The last time Wyoming had more than 80 patients in the hospital with the virus was the middle of January.
Coronavirus-related hospitalizations in the state have steadily trended upward since the end of June.
As of Wednesday, the number of active coronavirus cases in the state topped 1,300, the highest number seen since Jan. 31. Laramie County had the highest number of active cases in the state, 274, followed by Natrona County with 144.
The percentage of coronavirus tests showing a positive result has also trended up in recent weeks, reaching 19.9% on Wednesday.
Banner Health, the health system that owns the Wyoming Medical Center and a number of other medical facilities in the state, announced late last month that all of its employees would be required to be fully vaccinated against the coronavirus by Nov. 1 or they would be terminated from their jobs.

I would like to know how many of those hospitalized have had their vaccinations?

Honesty. Girlfriend just got out of hospital today and tested negative for covid tests (quick test, pcr, androgen) was in there with double pneumonia. Normally healthy. I was 4 days behind in symptoms. Currently sick now. I tested negative to all tests as well. Doctors sware it’s covid by “covid lung” they say due to the infection pattern. Daughter had shot and now has mild covid symptoms and tests negative all tests. What the heck is going on.

pneumonia (especially double pneumonia) like symptoms are nothing to mess with…always confer with your doctor or call 911 in any medical emergency…asking health-related questions in this comment section especially for the severe symptoms you describe is not advised

How many of the hospitalized, or those who have recently been tested positive for covid, have been fully vaccinated?

It doesn’t matter how many. The vaccine works and limits infections and severity. But trends show a vast majority are unvaccinated.

Covid virus caseload matters…keep your eye on the caseload numbers because flu season isn’t even in full swing yet…behold…a new variant (Alpha Variant) has been recently discovered in the UK and also other variants around the globe…according to BBC News three new variants have emerged around the world…most recently the Alpha Variant in the UK and has already spread to 50 countries…the Beta variant now in 20 countries…and the Gamma Variant first detected in Brazil but now in 20 countries…how’s that for viral mutation?…seems to me we are stuck with this virus globally…seems to me it will continue to mutate but the question in my mind is what function of the virus will be gained as it continues to mutate or will the virus weaken with the increased transmission throughout the world population?…Is this virus part of an ongoing pandemic or is it actually an endemic (stuck with it)?…glad I got my iddy biddy poke in my arm…

The CCP unleashed a bio weapon upon the world, and the US response was to shut down. When do we hold the CCP accountable?

accidents do happen in laboratories…and have serious consequences..like Africanized honey bees that were accidentally released decades ago…much can be learned from this pandemic and has…like the value of vaccines, the value of facemasks, the value of remote learning, the value of virtual communication, the potentially catastrophic results of biowarfare,…not trying to sugarcoat or create uncertainty but the other countries of world order will collectively decide on the question you ask.

Who said it was an accident? Your dealing with a country that puts people in concentration kamps, conducts unspeakable forms of torture against its own citizens, and doles out freedoms based on ‘good’ behavior awards. The UN is even a bigger joke.

It’s difficult to believe that a state full of smart people could be so naïve as to think that not getting vaccinated was a good option. Now many people will become ill or worse in the weeks ahead. Wyoming claims to be a conservative Christian state, but they can’t even put their families or the neighbors ahead of themselves. I see less of Christ and more of self in people who will not help the least of these. Not a judgement, just an observation.

Should people be forced to get the vaccine?
Mark Steingass
August 6, 2021 at 3:19 pm
no Thomas,…people should not be forced to get the vaccine, however, if the former president had not let his WH medical team inject an “experimental antibody cocktail” into his left butt cheek he probably wouldn’t be around today nor for the next 2024 election so you may be able to vote for him again…and as for you and repubs just like you if you don’t want that iddy biddy poke in your arm that’s your choice but you might not be around to vote in 2024 either…have it your way…just like burger king

Im not a repub, but thanks for the stereotype.
Im glad I can count on you to protest team biden when they do force the vaccines upon the populace, or introduce a vaccine passport in order to purchase goods at a store….a mark if you will…..thats not going over very well in Europe.
You need to conduct some research about the mRNA vaccine, and how its supposed to manufacture a protein to ward off the virus. Then read why Dr. Robert Malone, the inventor of the mRNA tech., says that the vaccine makes the virus more dangerous.
An experimental vaccine for emergency use only……….

not a repub?…must be some kind of political mutation going on…your comment a couple of weeks ago…”Almost 11,000 people have died from the covid vaccine”…I did research that and came up without any evidence to support your claim…you’ve claimed twice (or more times) “covid is a bio-weapon created by CCP”…can’t find any proof of that either…you insinuate that Covid was not an accident by your above comment but have no proof of that either….but if you believe the CCP is fully capable of bio-warfare…you better keep a stash of facemasks, goggles and gasmasks…Dr Robert Malone you mean that mad scientist who is shunned by his peers?…

No Sir!!! No one should be forced. They should search their hearts. Our family and friends are sick and some gravely so. And we have the power to help them.
