For the 4th time in the Craig Bohl era and the 4th time in 6 years, the Wyoming Cowboy Football Team is going bowling.
The 6-6 Pokes will play in the 2021 Famous Idaho Potato Bowl in Boise, ID on Tuesday, December 21 against the 7-6 Kent State Golden Flashes.
Kickoff is scheduled for 1:30pm Mountain Standard Time and the game will be televised on ESPN.
UW last played in the Potato Bowl in 2017, defeating Central Michigan 37-14.
The Pokes last bowl game appearance was in the 2019 Arizona Bowl, winning that game 38-17 vs. Georgia State.
This will be the first meeting between Wyoming and Kent State.
The Golden Flashes are the 2021 Mid American Conference runner-ups, losing the conference championship game vs. Northern Illinois 41-23.
The Cowboys won at NIU 50-43 earlier this season.
Overall, UW is 10-5 vs. the MAC, while Kent State is 4-6 vs. the Mountain West Conference.
The Pokes are 8-8 in bowl games, while the Golden Flashes are 1-3, winning the 2019 Frisco Bowl vs. Utah State.
