The Sheridan boys placed 4 runners in the top 25, to win the team title by 12 points ahead of Natrona County at the Chief National Invitational held at the Riverton Rendezvous Site, hosted by Wyoming Indian HS.
Austin Akers was 4th with a time of 16 minutes 55.16 seconds.
Meanwhile the Sheridan girls placed 2 in the top 18, with Abby Newton as individual runner-up, as the Lady Broncs finished 3rd behind Cody and Natrona County.
The Tongue River boys and girls cross country teams ran in the races as well.
Wyatt Ostler and Al Spotted were 13th and 14th for the boys respectively, while Maddy Hill finished in 24th in the girls race.
Big Horn was scheduled to have runners in the race, but did not participate.

The next scheduled cross country race is the Michelle Ludwig Invitational held on Saturday, September 18th at Sheridan’s Blacktooth Park.
