Coach Zane Garstad spoke on the team’s performance for this first rodeo, “The first rodeo of the season is the most stressful for all the student-athletes, but our team worked their process and handled the situations well; some were more successful than others.”
This was the first rodeo for new assistant rodeo coach, Bobby Harris.
Harris is a world champion team roper and was inducted into the Pro Rodeo Hall of Fame in 2022.
“We are fortunate to have Bobby as part of our Sheridan College rodeo coaching staff,” said Garstad. “Coach Harris is doing a great job with the team and providing the guidance you only get from a World Champion Rodeo Athlete. This team will only get better as long as they continue to put in the work.”
Teams will travel to Central Wyoming College in Riverton, Wyo. September 20-22 for the second rodeo of the fall season.
