Cowgirls Knocked out of the MWC Tournament / Pokes Open Tonight With CSU / Bronc / Lady Bronc Hoops Open the East Regional Tomorrow

COWGIRL BASKETBALL – The Wyoming Cowgirls were eliminated from the Mountain West Conference tournament in Las Vegas losing to Boise state 79-71 they end the season with a record of 17-12.

COWBOY BASKETBALL – The Cowboys take on Colorado state tonight in their tournament opener Cowboy pregame starts at 5:30 with the tip at 6:00 live on 14-10 KWYO and 106.9 FM.

LADY GENERALS BASKETBALL – The Sheridan college Lady Generals play in the second round of the Region nine tournament in Casper tomorrow afternoon against Western Nebraska we sat down with Head coach Ryan Davis Tuesday and he says his young roster is excited to continue their season.

And he says their roster is loaded with first year players and it was a good regular season and typical for freshmen learning the game in college.

They tip off with Western Nebraska tomorrow at 1:00 the Cougars beat the Lady Generals twice during the regular season and Davis talks about what they have to get done to find success tomorrow.

EAGLES / RAMS BASKETBALL – The Tongue River Eagles and the Big Horn Rams open up the boys 2-Astate tournament bracket tomorrow in Casper. the Eagles play Southeast while the Rams take on Kemmerer.

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL – The Sheridan high school basketball teams open the 4-AEast regional tournament tomorrow at Thunder Basin high school in Gillette

It will be a double header with the Lady Broncs leading off with Cheyenne East at 10:30 the Broncs will follow against Cheyenne South we will broadcast both games live for you on KWYO and 106.9 FM and on-line on our web stream at sheridanmedia.com

INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD – The high school indoor track season will close out this weekend in Gillette the state indoor championships start Friday.

JUNIOR HOCKEY PLAYOFFS – The Frontier division Junior hockey playoffs start this week the Sheridan Hawks will start their playoff series next week after receiving a bye in the first round

In the first round this week Gillette is playing Cody and Great Falls is playing Helena both are best of three series.
