James Andrew David (Jim), age 82, passed away on March 1, 2022, at the Sheridan Memorial Hospital. Jim was born May 2, 1939, in Livingston, Montana to Henry James David and Katherine Martha Petersen. At about the age of 4 or 5, he, his parents, brother, and sister moved to Sheridan, Wyoming where he grew up and attended school.
Jim worked several jobs while in High School and College after which he went to the Army and after the Army, he went to work for Kiewit’s and worked there for many years, until he retired. Jim was a very kind and loving man, he enjoyed his friends, classic cars, and his pets.
Jim was married and had two children, James and Deann. Jim was divorced in 1980 and in October 1983 he married Peggy Reed Rockmon.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents Katherine and Henry and sister Marge. Jim is survived by his wife of 38 years, Peggy, brother Vern David (Betty), Son James David (Yvonne), daughter Deann, brother-in-law Don, two grandsons Alex and Christopher, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephew, and cousins.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial will be held at a later date.

I didn’t know Mr. David. But that cat really loves him! He was indeed a good man. I hope the cat adjusts to his leaving cat behind. Sympathies to his family for the loss of a good man.

I worked with Jim on many Kiewit jobs starting with the Gillette airport runway in 1983. He was a great boss and friend for many years, God Bless him and his family!

i worked with Jim when we were with Kiewit when we were installing fiber optic cablein Okalahomahe was a real gentleman and a pleasure to work with. In later years he would always have a plesant word
when ever we saw each other. my life was definately made beter because I knew him, so long Jim, Ihope i’m fortunate enough to see you again

Jim will be fondly remembered forever. He was a friend to my husband Barry and visited with him during his last weeks on earth. Blessings to you and your family.
