Connie Lynn Brenden was born January 18, 1947 to Paul and Lillian (Casey) McAnally in Indianapolis, Indiana where she grew up and went to school, graduating from T.C. Howe High School in May 1964. Connie attended Franklin College where she met her first husband Robert (Bob) Jarvis. Connie and Bob raised three boys and pursued teaching careers in Huntington, IN and Gillette, WY. Bob and Connie later divorced.  In 1994 Connie married Brett Brenden in Buffalo. Connie retired as an educator in 2007 but remained a lifelong teacher. Her passion for learning carried through everything she did, patiently helping grandkids, church members or anyone that needed it.

Connie’s church community was family to her, as was anyone who needed help or love.  She was always there to give love abundantly. While serving in the church nursery, or with her grandkids, she would read books until both the baby and Connie were asleep.  She was always willing to change diapers without complaint. If you had a sad, happy, or funny story, you wanted to tell it to her, she would be there with you no matter the emotion. She could not help but take care of those around her, a perpetually generous spirit. Her light and joy shone through in every interaction she had, her easy chuckle and warm smile will be sorely missed. In her absence, may we all help out a neighbor, send an encouraging card, cook a meal for someone, or simply share more love with each other to carry on the joyful and selfless spirit of Connie. She is survived by her husband Brett Brenden of Buffalo; five sons Chad Jarvis of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Scott Jarvis of Spearfish, South Dakota, Ross Jarvis and his wife Veronica of Olympia, Washington, Jason Brenden of Helena, Montana and Jeremy Brenden of Malta, Montana; thirteen “dumplin” grandchildren she loved so dearly; and her brother Dan McAnally and his wife Pat of North Carolina. She was preceded in death by her parents.
