Charlotte Elaine Guilford
Charlotte Elaine Guilford passed away on August 22, 2020, in Billings, Montana. Elaine was born at home in Newbury, Massachusetts to Ralph and Mary Chase. She had one brother, William, who died many years ago.
Elaine graduated from Newburyport High School in 1956. In 1957 she married Charles (Charlie) Guilford. They were married for 59 years. Charlie passed away in 2016.
The family moved west from Portsmouth, NH in 1968 to Billings, MT. It was in Billings that Elaine began a career in banking. In 1973 the family moved to Sheridan and Elaine continued her career in banking until her retirement. Elaine enjoyed spending time at the Kalif Shrine with Charlie and their many friends. She was also active in the Daughters of the Nile. After Charlie died, Elaine would spend time at the Kalif Shrine watching Jeopardy with friends. To those friends, we say, thank you, for walking our Mother to and from her car and looking after her. It was the end of the day she enjoyed the most.
She is survived by three children, Chuck (Suzan) of Buffalo, WY.; Robert (Barbara) of Billings, MT., Linda Songer (Don) of Sheridan, WY., and two granddaughters. At her request, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to the Kalif Shrine Crippled Children’s Fund.

Elaine was a delight to visit with. She was cared for by many friends. Hugs to you her family and thanks for sharing her. Sister love in Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile

Farewell Dearest Elaine, thank you so much for the fun and enjoyment we had in your company for the past twenty years and more. We are grateful too for the family and friends you introduced us to. Hope you are together again with Charlie. We will miss you very much and think about you often. Our deepest sympathy to Chuck, Bob and Linda.
