Karen S. Hans, 63, passed away Friday, August 14, 2020, at Sheridan Manor. Karen was born the youngest of twelve children on February 1, 1957, to Bernice and Frederick Kinter in Sheridan, Wyoming. She graduated from Sheridan High School in 1975 and shortly after met the love of her life, Kirk A. Hans whom she wed on June 27, 1980. Their daughter, Misa was born in 1984. In 2018 she met the other love of her life, her first grandson, Hudson. She viewed being a Grammy as one of the best experiences in the world and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family. Karen also had a love for spending time in the Big Horn Mountains where she enjoyed fishing, camping, and skiing. She had a passion for music, archery, and travel. Karen took a career as an administrative assistant until her retirement in 2018.
She was preceded in death by her husband Kirk A. Hans, parents Frederick and Bernice, brother’s Alfred Kinter and Christian Kinter, and sister’s Bernice DeLapp, Georgia Manuel, Barbara Schaffer, and Mary Janice Kinter.
Karen is survived by her daughter Misa Clevenger, son in law Ryan Clevenger, grandson Hudson Clevenger and sister’s Judy Kinter, Anna Bassett, Peggy Marker, Norma Kinter, Evelyn Meyer, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Due to current events, a public memorial will be held at a later date. In addition to any sympathy cards, happy stories or memories of Karen are welcome to be shared with family.
