Gay Higley, 73, of Banner, WY passed away at 2:00 am, Sunday, July 19th in Helena, Montana. Gay was a beautiful person, mother, and friend. She was born on May 23, 1947, in Burley, Idaho to John and Anna Nordstrom and was the youngest of three siblings. She moved to Wyoming in 1983 to start a new life in the cowboy state. Gay worked in the Sheridan area as a sales associate before settling in at Sheridan Media where she worked in sales promoting businesses within the area for nearly 30 years before she retired in 2018. Her love of horses, family, and her small ranch were the things that gave her the most joy. Per her wishes, there will not be a memorial service. Her kindness and love of life will live on within the hearts and minds of all those she touched. She is survived by her brothers, Terry Nordstrom and Dale Nordstrom; her son, Shawn Higley; daughter, Robin Higley; her grandchildren Taylor and Austin Higley, and her niece Cori Busenitz. Memorial contributions may be made to Horse Haven Montana at HorseHavenMT.org.
