On Tuesday, July 14th, 2020, the world lost Kathryn M. Wirth (Green), beloved mother, daughter, and friend to many. Kathy was born in Sheridan, Wyoming on March 7, 1964, to Ned and Dorothy Green. She graduated from Sheridan High in 1982. Kathy moved to Tucson, AZ in 1984 where she met and married Jeff Wirth. They moved to Billings, MT in 1990 where they raised their wonderful children. She returned to Sheridan, WY in 2016 to be near her friends and family. Kathy loved Melissa (Billings, MT) and Michael (Bozeman, MT) more than anything in the world. Some of her many passions included gardening and raising wonderful plants and flowers. She particularly enjoyed summers where she savored time with her children. Many summers were spent camping in the Bighorn Mountains with her family and friends. Kathy loved cooking and preparing meals for everyone, and she was the best hostess anyone had the fortune to know. Kathy welcomed any guest to her home, and she loved having company visit. She was our go-to with a wealth of knowledge across many subjects and everyone called her for advice. Kathy loved her family, extended family, and her many friends, especially the Golden Girls. Kathy is survived by her two children, former husband Jeff Wirth of Billings, MT, mother, Dorothy Green of Sheridan, WY, brother, Mike Green of Tucson, AZ as well as many cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Kathy is with her father, Ned Green.

Please join her family and friends for a celebration of Kathy’s life on Saturday, July 18that 2:00 PM at the Story Centennial Park or Fish Hatchery picnic site located on Fish Hatchery Road in Story, WY. At this time, we are unsure of the exact location, as it’s first-come-first-serve. Contact Melissa Wirth with any questions at (406)672-3276.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Kathy’s Go-Fund-Me to help with her expenses. Information will soon be available on Facebook.
