News ReleaseGraveside services for Jane McCrady, an 85-year-old Story, Wyoming resident who passed away Friday at the Sheridan Memorial Hospital, will be held Monday, February 17, at 2:00 in Willow Grove Cemetery in Buffalo with Reverend Barry and Beth Moen officiating. Jane Louise McCrady was born on July 27, 1939, in Buffalo, Wyoming to Vernon and Essie “Twing” Hibler. She grew up in Buffalo and graduated from Johnson County High School with the class of 1957. After high school, she worked at Buffalo Federal Savings and Loan, now the Bank of Buffalo. She was married on May 4, 1972, in Buffalo to Jan McCrady, and they made their home in Cheyenne, where Jan was finishing his military career and Jane was a homemaker. In 1977, they moved to Story, Wyoming. Jan passed away in April 2023 and Jane continued to live in Story until her death.
Jane was an artist and loved to paint and write. She was very involved in her church, Grace Chapel in Story. She loved music, especially Gospel, Irish and John Denver and all different kinds of music. Jane is survived by one son Clif McCrady and his wife Shelley of Casper; one daughter Janet Salmans of Merced, California; one sister Kay Kenyon of Story, Wyoming; six grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; four nephews, one niece and, numerous great nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one sister Jean Shock.
