WebmasterRay Lee Chase passed away at his home on November 9, 2024, at the age of 63. Ray was born on May 10, 1961, to Harold and Willo Chase, Sr. He was the 7th of 8 children. Following graduation, he began his career in construction as a heavy equipment operator, which he excelled at. He was proficient in operating the Finish Blade, Excavator, Dozer, and Loader. Ray taught the operation of heavy equipment through The Training Center in Casper, WY for 11 years.
Ray thoroughly enjoyed outdoor activities, such as fishing, camping, and 4-wheeling in the Big Horn Mountains. He was an avid bowler and won several awards while living in Gillette, WY. Five years ago, Ray moved back to Sheridan to be closer to his brothers. He was disabled, due to an on the job accident, and wished to live closer to his family. Ray remained independent, doing as he pleased and enjoying life to the fullest.
He is survived by his son, Brandon, daughter Lacey and grandson Karson. Brothers Jr (Carol), Gene(Fran) and Alan(Angie). He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no Graveside Services at this time. In the Spring of 2025 there will be a family get-together to celebrate Ray’s life and his accomplishments.

I worked with Ray on an airport project in Sheridan many years ago. He always had a smile.
