In loving memory of Amy Marie Jones, 38, of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, who departed this life on October 30, 2024, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Her cremation has been entrusted to the compassionate care of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc. Amy was born on July 17, 1986 in Sheridan, Wyoming. Amy was the beloved daughter of Dodie Sue (Hansen) Bomar and Kenneth Irving Mahaffy. She found her soulmate in Jared Jones, whom she married on March 17, 2008 in Shamrock, Texas.
As a devoted mother, Amy extended her deep-seated love and care into her profession, impacting the lives of countless children during her tenure with Child Protective Services at the Oklahoma Department of Human Services in Muskogee, Oklahoma. Her selflessness was also evident in her service to her country as a U.S. Air Force Veteran and Tech Sgt for Air National Guard, 138th Security Forces Squadron.
Amy leaves behind her devoted husband, Jared; her children: daughter, Mackenzie Jones of Moore, Oklahoma; sons, Blaine Jones and Natalee Porter of West Point, New York; and Colten Jones of the home.
She is also survived by her mother, Dodie Bomar (Duane) of Sheridan, Wyoming; father, Ken Mahaffy (Barb) of Banner, Wyoming; and brother, Mark Mahaffy of Spokane, Washington.
She also leaves behind her step-sisters Vicki Phillips (Jason) of Rapid City, South Dakota; Shaye Roberts (Chris) of Nevada; and a step-brother Jerome Smith (Lisa) of Sheridan, Wyoming.
Her close-knit family also includes her in-laws, Jan and Dean Caughman of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; brothers-in-law Tyler Caughman (Katie) of Coweta, Oklahoma and Jon Jones (Kelsie) of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; sister-in-law Jordan Jones of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; grandmother-in-law Ann Miller of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; and dear friend Kathy; along with numerous relatives and a host of friends who will miss her dearly.
Amy was preceded into death by her maternal grandparents Gary and Janice Hansen, paternal grandparents Duane and Nadine Mahaffy, and grandfather-in-law Bud Miller.
A Celebration of Life has been scheduled for Friday, November 22, 2024, at First Baptist Church, 3179 Big Horn Avenue, Sheridan, Wyoming at 10:00 a.m.
