Dorothy Lafferty

Dorothy Lafferty, resident of Sheridan, Wy passed away at Westview Health Center, Wednesday, October 23^rd, 2024, after a long illness of dementia. She was 95 years old.

Dorothy was born in Ft. Laramie, Wy, August 29^th, 1929. She raised her daughters in Torrington, Wy. She worked as a bookkeeper for Kansas Nebraska Gas Co. for a long period of time.

She met Robert Lafferty in her 70s and they married August 13^th, 2005.

Dorothy is preceded, in death, by her parents; Ed & Bessie Barnett, one daughter; Connie Bechtholdt, two brothers; Eddie Barnett & Darrell Barnett, and husband Robert Lafferty.

Dorothy is survived by her other daughter, Jean Oaks, who cared for her the last few years. Dorothy has five grandchildren; Mathew Bechtholdt (Cheyenne, Wy), Christopher Gregg (Denver, Co), Brody Goregg (Crystal) (Denver, Co), Tanya Granum (James) (Sheridan, Wy), and Joshua Banks (Bridget) (Casper, Wy). Two great-grandchildren; Nico Garibaldi (Sheridan, Wy) and Grey Granum (Sheridan, Wy).

A graveside service will be held in Torrington, Wy at a later date.
